Red Wing Royal Ambassador Recap:

River City Days came to a close Sunday night with the 2019 Red Wing Royal Ambassadors receiving their crowns at the coronation program at the Sheldon Theatre.

A sold out crowd was on hand as 10 Red Wing Royal Ambassador candidates were a part of a history making program.  2019 marked the first year in the program’s history that juniors were eligible to participate along with seniors.

Three seniors were named the new 2019 Red Wing Royal Ambassadors.   Congratulations to Hannah Rodgers, Delaynee Fox and Morgan Fritz.  Morgan Fritz also won the Republican-Eagle Essay award.

Junior Ameria Reinitz won the Best Costume Award.  Junior Courtney Colwell won the Kodakciyapi Friendship Ward, previously the Miss Congeniality Award, presented by the Prairie Island Tribal Community.

The five other Red Wing Royal Amabassador candidates this year were Rachel Borgen, Abigail Koll, Ashlynn Nystuen, Seanna Wilgrubs and Mabry Polus.

The 2018 Royal Ambassadors who bid farewell to the crowd at the Sheldon Theatre were Hannah Coyle, Kendal Swanson and Megan Jeranek.
